https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Locotrol i believe CP use wire line DPU so the DPU doesn't look signal and ideal down

CP uses radio DP just like everyone else.

They *do* have repeater linking which is different from others for those areas where comm loss is prevalent.

When comm is lost for DPU control what happens?

It'll continue to hold braking or throttle for 90 minutes unless you set 20 lbs of air.
