Neat paintings or classic photos you might have saved

Grab a rock, have a seat, and talk about the real world of trains.

Neat paintings or classic photos you might have saved

I thought while we are all waiting for some return to whatever normal will be this might be fun if some of you have collected any old real world classics from days gone by. I'll start out with one of the iconic RR pictures of all time. The Night Train by Lionel Walden.

I use railroad pictures as my wallpaper. Here's one of my favorites.

I always like the work of Howard Fogg. I have no particular favorite.

There's all sorts of photos and paintings of the famous rivalry unknowingly destined to become the worst railroad merger in history. A lot of the museums around New York have various copies of these.

I picked up a book on the Argentine Central Railway (Stairway to the Stars). It was a special addition with extra maps and prints.
This is a print of the cover art. It's also a Howard Fogg painting.

Do old builder photos count as 'classic photos'?

The paintings of Max Jacquiard have always been favorites of my fathers. Now that he has retired, he must be treating himself. There seems to be a new one hanging every time I go to visit!

Below are digital impressions of some of my favorites of that artist.
