Some of you may have come here looking for the PRR 5550. But this is to talk about Reading 2102 !*roll-laugh*!

Today is the first time the 2102 has moved under steam in about 30 years and sister engine (and first in class, 2100) is also being restored to operate again too.

Several You Tube videos and pics are starting to circulate around the internet.

Being overhauled from heavy 2-8-0's always puts these things in the rare and unique machines category.

As a disclaimer, this is a random video I liked. I am not associated with this person.

This locomotive had such a great life as in excursion service, including the American Freedom Train, and Chessie Steam Special. I would love to see this engine in our sim. The 1970's are the focus of my simulation efforts.
