Some groundbreaking news: The new BLLW Northeast Classics Series will likely be the first series to feature BLLW's new Type-H Passenger Coupler. this new shape comes equipped with all proper connections for a typical Pre-Amtrak era passenger car (Train, Signal and Steam Lines, the coupler itself, and even the correct diaphragms for the different types of passenger equipment then in operation (Pullman, American Car and Foundry, and Budd). (Note: Coupler shown does not yet include diaphragms)

those are some beautiful cars, tis a shame i am not a fan of eastern roads....maby i will just buy them because they lood SOOOOOOOOOO awsome! (and the fact they wouldn't look too out of place on an early amtrak train? dont know much about amtrak's older days so yeah.....)

Thanks for the Kind words Tori. Some of the ideas being used on this series originated on the Keystone Legends Series Bay Window Caboose kit. (Ideas from there include use of the TrainGlass.fx Shader, and Shadow models.)

Answering about the "rainbow years" of Amtrak, up until the arrival of the Amfleet cars, most of Amtrak's fleet of cars came from a myriad of roads, including PC, ATSF, BN, UP, SP and many others, and featured steam heating. Some heritage cars are still running, but with HEP instead of the steam heating systems they were built with. Hope this gives some education into the matter. Sure we can't maybe convert you into a fan of Eastern roads?

Nah, the farthest east i will go is with CN but they are also in the west so it dosen't quite count. i just don't care for the paint schemes of the east, or how railways were set up in operations there. Well i am shure those cars would work for some of CP's early heavyweight cars which would be nice to see.

I must say I like Pennsylvania, but truly my favorite train line is Reading, would love to see these in Reading green.

I've had the opportunity to preview the Northeast Classic Series and have to say that these cars are top notch. In addition to many new operational features, the level of detail is some of the best I've seen. BTW, you don't have to have a Pennsy route to run these models. I remember seeing PRR pool equipment (including baggage/RPO's) on many of the ACL trains that ran through my hometown in Alabama. If you take a good look at some of the non-limited trains of that era, many were a mixture of all sorts of roadnames depending on the route of the train. They would definitely look great on the CSX Mainline and the P&LE. In addition, we have the NEC coming and Dick Cowan has a GG1 and a PRR freight pack. Remember, model railroading is fun!

Is it possible if you could put some steam leakages on the connections,but not to much just a bit to give you the feeling,by the way excellent work wow the coaches are loking amazing can't wait to run them.
