Freeware GP9 Models Available

Announcements and Discussion about Michael Stephans' Golden Age of Railroading Development

Some more progress tonight... !*cheers*!

I've corrected some errors on the GP9, added the version without dynamic brakes, and also rebuilt the base model as GP7 and GP5 (GN's own classification for its EMD FT rebuilds, they look like a standard GP9 but had only 1350 hp). My plan is now to add the two later paint schemes to the correct roster numbers (which wouldn't be possible witout the data found on Ben Ringnalda's GreatNorthernEmpire website), possibly I'll add a BN version too.

I've posted three more pictures on my blog: http://golden-age-rails.blogspot.de/

Hello,

While the first engine took me several weeks to complete, the next eleven were done in just one night. !!*ok*!!

The Great Northern Geeps are now available!

You can download them on my website: http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/emdgp9gn.html
They are freeware, but like the other GP9s and SD7/9s require the US Loco and Assets DLC to function correctly.

The GN Geep pack includes twelve engines, GN GP5, GP7 and GP9 (the latter also with dynamic brakes) in all three GN paint schemes.

More screenshots are on the blog or my website.

Have fun with these new GN engines.

Cheers

They're looking way too good; can I please see them side by side with the RSC versions? (GN EB and GP9Pack01 version)

Why can't you do that yourself?

Awesome job Michael, I think I'll try repainting these. There is a local sorting that needs some love in this game.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you like the engines.

There's also a layered repaint template texture available, please email me if you would like to hear more.

Great Engines, I think you always do such nice work. Maybe you could add a file so the new Engines show up in Quick Drive like the RWA Models. Please.
