Question about modeling real life buildings

I have a problem. I need to build a warehouse/industrial type building as the first building in my route. But, I have a problem. One is that I have no clue how to start, but I am working on that. Second problem, using Street view, I have a remotely rough idea about 2 out of the 4 sides to the building. How do I find images of the other side, when there are no streets on those sides? Here is the image. As you can see, it is very close to the starting point of my route, so I want to add high detail. How do I solve this?

Thanks in advance guys! I really need detailed instructions for this one! If someone could point me in the direction of a high-detailed tutorial, I would really appreciate it! !!*ok*!!

When there is no other possible way to get a view of what the walls look like the only thing one can do is make a logical guess at about what it should look like by seeing how the couple of walls you do see look like.

Also, beware of the sizing, when building a model from a prototype the all out size can be a very big problem.


May I suggest trying out Google Sketchup and then finishing up the model in 3d Crafter Pro. I use both Google Sketchup and 3D Crafter Pro. What I do to make the model decent on polygon level is to make a wall texture to use to paint the walls instead of texturing each individual floor and window. For some of my skyscrapers I use a special 10 floor texture to simulate the floors and save on poly level.

I can't afford 3D crafter. I have to use blender. I'm on a VERY tight budget.

If you use birds eye view in bing maps you should be able to get a decent idea of what the missing walls look like.

Here's a tip I just discovered! If you need to measure a random building, go into GE and measure it with a path. If you change it to feet, you can get a reasonably accurate measurement!
