Hello there gentlemen, i am new here and i am new to modeling. please excuse that my english language is not fluent, that because it is not my native tongue.

i currently trying to create custom trackage for RW and wants to make use the LoftTexDiffSpec.fx but don't know how to setup the shader correctly, so the specular not shown (makes no difference to the LoftTexDiff.fx). What is the parameters required so that the specular will show in game?

i have read this on ukts but not explaining what the required setup ---> "LoftTexDiffSpec Use: this shader to create lofted element with a basic specular phong of a fixed size and power. Example Track rails." http://ftp.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic.php?f=312&t=126198&start=0&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&sid=b6df3ec2f5aa3e7049aa5324ec10c73e

You have no UV argument.
In the Material Editor under "UV Arguments" enter a modest number in box #1 say, about 32. Then re-export.

Thank you spec5sx, i tried and changed the "UV Arguments" but still no difference in specular gain. Do we have missed something?

UV Argument #1 -- 16 + Export (no effect), tried 32 + Export (no effect)

UV Argument #1 -- 32, UV Argument #2: 16, UV Argument #3: 16 (no effect)

Setiing the "Specular Power" to 7 in light setting (Kuju Material) + setting the above UV Arguments also resulted in no changes... !*hp*!

Current setting to save the rail texture:

Current result -- still no specular gain on any angles

As I don't have any experience with this shader as of yet it's difficult to advise you. However, a good "next step" would be to give your rail texture an alpha channel.
