TSM functions - Equivalents in 3DC?

Unread postby SAR704 » Wed Aug 31, 2011 10:49 pm

I've begrudgingly started to make use of 3D Crafter 8.2.7 to export models into RW. However, a number of functions I find a bit arduous compared to TSM.

How do you set textures to map repeatedly on a particular axis in 3DC? The tiling tool only seems to do it all directions. This doesn't work favourably for when repeated texturing on the X axis (for example) is required, like when texturing a wall that would otherwise looked stretched.

How do you set up primitives to have a specific number of sections on a specific axis? For example I might need a rectangle with 4 sections on the Y axis. Can this be done?

Can the vertices on objects be adjusted in the same way as in TSM?

Can you split parts of objects so that they become two different objects?

Thanks in advance

Are you using 3DCanvas or 3DCrafter?

Oops, I forgot to mention that I'm using 3d Crafter 8.2.7.

OK! I reckon I can't help you then as I'm sure things are done differently in the 2 versions, and I have 3DCanvas.
