Overwrote a texture file

Unread postby SAR704 » Sun Feb 05, 2017 2:20 am

I accidentally overwrote a tga texture file, and now all I have is the ace version of the original, and the exported TGPCDX files. Is there a way to recover the original TGA file using RW tools or some kind of conversion software that is friendly towards Railworks files?

Use RW Tools to convert the TGPCDX file to a DDS file and you are good to go with your paint program. You may need the nVidia DDS plugin for your program.

You could also use RS_Bin Tool, which directly imports and exports .dds extensions. Remember, you will need to be able to open .dds files with your image manipulation application.
