Scenery Items for my WIP Brush Subdivision Request

Unread postby ColoradoRailfan » Wed Jan 25, 2017 8:36 pm

Hi all, I saw the WIP MRL route that is being worked on, and I saw some people making custom buildings for it.
If anyone is up for it, could anyone help by creating Denver Union Station (Modern one)? And maybe some other buildings, like some refineries? Would be gladly appreciated

Any pictures of some of those refineries, might be an interesting project for later.

But I definitely wouldn't be able to build the station however, far too complicated for even me.

The Brush Sub is a BNSF Subdivision. It runs from Sterling Colorado to Denver 20th St. Colorado

Yeah I live a little north of Denver, I can try to get some photos of the refineries and maybe the Union Station

It might take a week or two.

If I don't get textures I'll have to create my own or just use what is available.

Nice! Will this be the Present Day Union Station?

My route will be freeware, though I have no intentions to put it on the Steam Workshop, I plan on having a beta version from Denver, CO to Roggen, CO done by either November or December.

Did you manage to finish at least part of the station (white structure)?
And honestly I dont think I could get the shots for the wall, etc. Since those are hard to photograph just right, because of the lighting.

Im also asking you if you could make the dome structure

Not the warehouses since those are already taken care of.

SD40Australia wrote:What is your reason for not using the warehouse Home Depot which I made specifically for you? You asked for it, now you say 'they have already been taken care of'! What is the deal man?

I uploaded it. All this I did. And you don't use it.

What message do you think this sends to me or anyone that offers to help you.

You may be in school, but listen if you want to burn your bridges you are doing a good job.

I realize that you may be naive. We will help you.

Maybe you can appreciate what others do for you?

I have made these kinds of mistakes before so I will be patient with you.

Until you can offer me a reason why you didn't use my item which I spent time making for you at no cost (few people make 3d Models for people for free) then I will ban you from making requests for 6 months.

Banned means no requests and if you do I will block you. After 6 months you can re-ask and hopefully your sttitude will be adjusted somewhat.

Daniel

Maybe because I already had put those buldings in before you made yours?
This was before you made the warehouse, but sure Ill use yours since it isnt fair to not use it, so thank you.
And I will ask you to loose the attitude before this thread gets into a storm of arguments and gets locked, unacceptable.

Hey ColoradoRailfan... just a suggestion, but give Blender a try for modeling. Yes, it has a steep learning curve, but there are tons of Youtube videos showing how to do everything from the very basics to fully rendered scenes. Start with something small, and don't worry about exporting to train simulator at first. Just learn and enjoy the modeling. There are folks on this forum that use Blender with skills ranging from beginner (like me) to advanced, and we would be more than happy to help you out. Once you become a little proficient at Blender, you'll be able to generate your own assets, and will hone your skills with each new asset. It may seem overwhelming at first, but just take it one step at a time.
