Regular/Irregular asset block vs normally grouped vegetation

Hi,
Does regular or irregular asset block have any drawbacks when compared to a normal vegetation grouped in 3d program..Does it impact the frame rate considering both have equal size/area..

I've used all three and the best option is the irregular Asset Block. It just works a little better in the editor.
Don't make any asset blocks too large. That is one of the major reasons the game in some routes will stop for a second or more in some areas. Keep them to something like 1sq Km. or about .5 square mile each.
With items like 2D trees and shrubs, a person can use a density number of 2500-3000 with no problems.
Keep 3D objects close to the track where it matters most.

Eric.
