How to add Automobile Headlights?

Unread postby tg626 » Sat Oct 17, 2015 10:15 pm

This question is for "driving", IE spawned AI cars. I've looked at the files for existing autos with headlights, but there doesn't seem to be anything headlight related there. Is it in the model it's self?

Yes, the model needs to have headlights built in, or these can be added as an object child to the main blueprint.
Cheers!

The blueprint for AI automobiles is "Vehicle Prop" and appears to not accommodate children. At least within Blueprint Editor 2.

I am also annoyed by dark vehicles running the streets and highways at night.

I think the headlights are nodes to the automobile shape file, esp. since they have protruding "beams" on some autos.
While not impossible, it will be difficult to add headlights and beams to the automobile using a child object.

Adding a projector alone will not give the auto bright headlights, these come from a node being switched on at night.
