New Models (and some old ones too)

Hello all! First off, I would like to take a minute to apologize to everyone here in our awesome community that I have let down. I say this because some time ago, I announced the release of a few models that seem to have died on the vine, but really they just went dormant. Over the past few weeks, I have been feverishly working on reviving my model list and have successfully finished around 20 of them; some are new ones that I started and never finished and others are revamped editions of models that I have already released and uploaded. When I first started out on the model making venture, I was using Sketch Up and then 3D Canvas; those two together; I have since graduated to using 3D Studio Max and I love it; I manage to teach myself something new almost daily with it. My very first model I released--if memory serves me--was the Modern Coal Facility and the textures were/are horrible. This and a handful of others that I have released are getting a facelift and some geometry changes that I am sure most will appreciate. The following is a list of what's to come and a short explanation of what I have/will be done/doing to them:

Modern Coal Facility: New textures and improved geometry with more than one version.
Pomona Yard Office and Tower: New textures and improved geometry. Additional version without signage too.
Quonset Hut/garage: New model
Container Chassis Storage Rack: Improved textures. Also, it was brought to my attention that this down load isn't what it's labeled as; it downloads as one of my barges.
Switchmans Shanty: Improved textures and added geometry. Vintage C&O building as seen in Hinton, WV.
Railcar Loading Platform: improved textures.
Tall Bridge Support Set: New model; a set of tall bridge supports that I felt were needed.
Pier Piling: new model; just a simple group of wood pilings that are typical around docks where barges are moored.
Pier Collision Barriers: new model; sometimes referred to as "dolphins" (or so I was told) these are the large, round metal barriers filled with gravel used along rivers where barges are moored.
Fixed Barricade: old model; I improved the textures and made several versions to include attached signage.
Private RR Crossing Sign: new model; several version made to reflect a number of Railway companies.
Water Towers: new models; this will be a set of water towers, both new and old styles. One style for sure is the one in Alamogordo, New Mexico (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-gcEDbpSfE_I/U ... ower+2.JPG)
Pre-cast Concrete Pipes: new model; 3 different diameters with single pipes, groups and stacks.
Intermountain Power Station: new model.
Construction Site Water Trailer: new model; this is one of those water tanks/trailers that you see sitting on stilts at construction sites. I got the idea for one while rail fanning at the Tehachapi Loop a few weeks ago where Granite Construction was doing some work at Walong.
Coal Barges: improved textures.
Deck Barges: new model, still in planning stage.
Petroleum Barges: new model, still in planning stage.
Switch Point Heaters/Hot Air Blowers: new model; there will be 3 different versions of this and each version will have a few different textured versions as well.
Bracketed Signal Stand: new model; this one went dormant on the vine some time ago and is what sparked this message.
Yard Foreman's Office: new model; vintage C&O building as seen in Hinton, WV.
Steam Era Wash Rack: new model; vintage C&O structure as seen in Hinton, WV.

That is all I can think of for now, but there is another list of and a lot of new stuff coming and I promise not to let you all down this time.

Cheers and sorry for such a long post.

Steve

Looks great, and I think Mr. Bob can use those water towers, they fit perfectly with the 60's scene.

These models do look excellent!

We tend to concentrate on larger buildings but small and inconspicuous structures make up the majority of the items visible from the cab.

There can never be enough trackside detail and clutter.

Can you also do some generic relay houses and boxes and a few of those metal huts that house signaling equipment?
Preferably with the option to display a name and milepost and a few paint/weathered texture variations?

Thanks,

Edwin "Kanawha"
