How do you stabilise the blend with a terrain texture?

Just wondering, is there any easy way to get this result for the whole route without enduring an precise arduous tiring task? When scattering little bits of this along the terrain, the paint tool seems to focus on the adjacent contrast texture or the bit just painted which makes the pattern hard to repeat. I've used the default Corn and Grass Moor texture with flora disabled in a cloned texturing.xml file in the Kuju folder.

I'd like to get more of the terrain looking like this, because it actually looks ok IMHO, compared to the default grass texture which is just continuous green.

Changing the brush from square to round and increasing your brush falloff to 1 should help.
Cheers!
