I was trying to import a 3Ds file from blender into 3d crafter and I got this msg: “Access violation at address 000001A0. Read of address 000001A0.” Any idea what that means??? I am a noob to 3d crafter, so be gentle!! lol

Don't know what would cause that, it never did it with me.

Perhaps you should try to paint a simple cube in 3D Crafter and then export it into the sim.

After you can do that I can show you how to edit a shape into the shape of a house and size it to the correct size.

Isn't 3DS a MAX file? I don't think that will import into 3DC.

Yes, it is a max file, but Blender will export in that format, and 3DC will import in it as well. It didn't work for me, so I am going to try other formats. There are tons of file converters out there. Maybe I just need to engross myself with 3DC tutorials, but so far all I have been able to do is transform a sphere into an egg!! lol

Why not keep it in blender? Right now its the better application. The shadow bake in 3DC is not that good, and the application itself is not getting an update until who knows when.

I need to read up on some tutorials for blender. I know nothing about it other than placing a cube or a sphere on the grid. !**conf**!
