Can anyone guess what brand of gas they sell?

Egyptian? I kid... I kid... *!greengrin!*

Well, it's almost complete. The model is done (tried to keep the poly count as low as possible), the texturing is done and the night version is done. The only thing left is to create the LODs and I'll throw in a winter texture. I'm sure there's plenty more I could do but at some point ya gotta call it finished. Will continue tomorrow...

And for those who wish to use this in a modern route (like yours truly) I've created an abandoned version.

Methinks an abandoned one wouldn't still have its vintage pumps.
They would have been stolen long ago!

I thought about ripping them out completely but I was afraid it wouldn't look like a gas station. Maybe I should rip them out? !*don-know!*

I do property maintenance for the owner of the building I live in. He owns a property that used to be a "Flying A" station. It's been a little restaurant for about 20 years now. Of course, the tanks and pumps are gone, but the restrooms are in a little building out back, and the garage is a storage room. I did a lot of work over there. When I was done, we got an "A" rating. The overhangs on the sides of the building are gone, too. Sad, that would ad a lot of character to the place. But it's always packed anyways.

Wow, that must have been a pain to get the permits.
Here in Quebec when a gas station is closed, it takes years before the land can be used again.
The provincial governement's environment department takes samples of soil, the grounds must be completely decontaminated (this usually involves replacing the entire top 100 ft of soil), the contaminated soil must be moved to special dumps, then new tests must be performed to ensure there is no remaining trace of hydrocarbon.
Only then can the parcel be sold or used again. The whole process is incredibly costly.

Would love to see you do some freeware 50's and 60's vehicles, such as the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air and 1963 Chevrolet Impalla.

I've been able to build some vehicles, but haven't been able to build anything from the 50's and 60's.

This place was converted before any of those regulations were in place here, so escaped all that madness. That little restaurant has the best Mexican food I have ever had. (OK, totally off topic now !**duh*!! ) All I did was a total remodel inside. Floor to ceiling. Kitchen, all of it.

What Marc said.

If this is indicative of the quality of your work, you should seriously consider working together with a vendor to put together and sell asset packs. No reason you shouldn't support your hobby with a little $$$!

I'd pay for it in a heartbeat!
