Thanks to all who helped me get this model out. Here are a couple of pics of it in the route. No trees or other scenery yet but I have a more positive attitude now.

It looks great! Now with reading this these posts, I will go back and play with my model to see if I can get better results as well. !!*ok*!!

What shader are you using? It could be that its using the alpha channel and in your texture the alpha is missing or is white.

Also 3DC does not support texture baking.

The only texture I'm using with an alpha channel is the windows and I am using a shade of grey for them so they are not totally transparent.

One thing that is still wrong with my Engine Shed asset is that the interior is just as bright as the exterior. Also, even the outside seems way too bright. I have the settings for all the textures in 3D Crafter set a Diffuse = 15, Ambient = 1, and all others set to 0 (zero). I have no idea how to do shadow maps but the interior colors should be less bright than the exterior.

On the texture set the alpha channel to black. In 3dc and a dummy 64x64 black BMP to the environment slot (make an ACE as well). See if that helps.
