Emissive is literally that, the colour ( and strength ) of the light the material emits. Just happens to be a fuzzy sort of glow in RW... would be ideal for old lamps or something. I don't know if the Ambient colour does anything with RW shaders, that might be interesting to experiment with for metallic materials or something.
