I will look at doing some of those Edwin. Provide me some pics or links to pics of them so I have some references please.

I suppose these items are pretty generic across all railroads.
Older installations from the 30's till 50's are still in operation, and unless well maintained, quite weathered.
Since the 80's, RR have been upgrading and installed newer equipment.
I suppose you can walk up to the nearest railroad line and take a few photos without trespassing.
Otherwise just eyeball it, a few inches off don't really matter.
Here is a site with information on all things signaling:

Something useful might be found in these old manufacturers manual and documents:

Here is a manufacturers website with lots of good photos, interesting info, including drawings (Western Cullen Hayes crossing protection):

Here are some Southern Pacific blueprints:

Your texturing on these assets is fantastic! What did you change in your technique or program between these and the first versions?

Edwin, thank you for the links, they will be put to good use for sure.

Thank you for the compliment!!! What I have done to change the texturing was use 3DS Max and have had much practice since the first release. I am still working on learning how to texture bake and I have some help from another experienced member helping me. !*salute*!

The steam era wash rack is very nice / I have placed it in several locations on my current WIP route although it is not animated it is a very nice asset and creates a lot of realism in and around the yard. Looking forward to the finished product on all your freeware asset's. Great Job my friend..

I like your yellow barrier gate, very nicely weathered, and the pre cast concrete pipes, I can't remember seeing anything like that before, superb. All these small items really help to populate our routes with, all this eye candy it's just what we want, and you're making a great job of it, thank you very much, top stuff, please carry on. !!*ok*!!

Thank you all for the kinds words, I really appreciate it. I have made a lot of progress and have finally been able to nail down a process for shadow baking my models; the difference between a model with and without a bake is night and day. I am going to start packaging and uploading completed models hopefully this week as I don't want to keep you all waiting any longer than necessary. !*salute*!

Will be looking forward to seeing them uploaded, I've noticed you like to do clutter, people always like rusted junk, like rusted out scrap fridges or old tires.
