Need some input please..

Tips and discussion about scenery creation for RailWorks.

Need some input please..

Unread postby spec5sx » Fri Aug 12, 2011 3:24 pm

I've been thinking about making all of my .ace texture files available to any and all freeware asset developers who might want to use them. I have 286 texture files in total.
If there is enough interest I will make them available for non-commercial use.
The word?..The word is no. I am, therefore, going anyway..

About the easiest way to share textures is to backage them up as a bmp file as well. Bmp file to the second power. Then you can actually apply the ace file texture to the model so you can use it.

And I to am always looking for more textures, especially ones that can be applied to a building. And ones that cab be applied to a locomotive.

BMP might be a problem if any of the textures contain alpha channels. TGA should be the norm.
Cheers!
