The route is no longer available. Tori seems to have dropped out of the RW scene. I have a more finished version of the Beta 5 and it is packaged and ready to go. But... Tori's readme was very specific about getting permission and she has not answered the forum admin in many weeks.

I talk with Tori a good bit, she sends her best wishes to everyone. If you want a copy of the 4.5 version it is available OVS has it in there downloads and there is still a lot of the required rolling stock in the file library here. If all else fails PM me and I'll get you hooked up with that version. Even the early 4.5 is still a great route from a great artist, and route builder.

Coaltrain, you should put James in touch with Tori so he can request her permission to publish his mod of her beta 5.

OVS is a virtual railroad called Ohio Valley System. Mike Spinelli runs it.

There seems to no longer be a link for downloading anything unless of course there is a place if you sign up.

I'll get with Her soon, and if it's Ok I'll send the 4.5 to the admins here. They can take it from there. As far as putting someone in touch with her, I will mention that people have versions of the beta 5 they would like to put up for download if she agrees. I'll copy the message to again the admins here and they can take it from there.

Hello all,

Sorry to be gone so long but I've just gotten busy with other things. Moving to Oregon changed my life and reawakened my affinity for nature that I lost when I took up computer school back in 1992. I don't regret spending much more time outdoors now and away from a computer screen that seemed to be ruining my eyesight, but I do miss you guys and this community. From time to time I have peeked in here to see what you are up to and it always makes me want to get back into the Alleghany project. But, then the sun comes out and I find myself on the road in the wilds looking for scenery, birds and other wildlife again. Now that 2 years have gone by, I'm afraid I have forgotten too much to ever routebuild again. Last time I tried I had forgotten how to rotate an object, lol. I have yet to even launch the TS2015 version of the game and now there's another newer one.

I got so close. All I had to do was finish a couple hundred more hours of scenery work. Terry (Coaltrain) has the last version of the Alleghany that I touched which I was calling "Version 5". The track was done from Hinton to Covington and he says that it installs and works ok. I never got around to building any scenarios for it which would have been interesting because of the signal blocks that I installed in the yards. I remember excitedly watching 5 trains shift cars around the Hinton yards all by themselves without getting snarled up!

To be honest, I don't foresee myself getting back into TS anytime soon for reasons already mentioned and also satellite bandwidth and computer costs (my extra money goes to zoom lenses now-a-days, lol). I am giving Terry permission to share that Version 5 with anybody who wants a copy or work with Bob to upload it here for others to download in its unfinished state if that's what you all want to do. If anyone has modified the original or this newer version and wants to share it, that's ok with me, too. It was, after all, too dang much work to just sit on a back shelf somewhere; I would rather it live on in some state even if out of my control. My feeling is that since I have basically dropped out of the community and have no future plans for the project, I have no claim to keep others from enjoying it however they wish. Just keep in mind that my goal was a somewhat realistic representation of the real Alleghany subdivision and I would hope that it doesn't get too unrealistic in any modifications you might make in the future.

The things I recall most fondly are all the rolling-stock and models that people made to compliment the Alleghany route. *!!thnx!!* Those amazing contributions of such talented artists really touched me and continue to tug at me to get back in a cab and see them all again! I'm sure I will, but that day is not here yet. I'll check back to see if this note raises any questions. Until we meet again, may your rails be smooth and true!

Ya'll have fun,
Tori
!*cheers*!

Some of us were having a lot of problems with making scenarios that worked in ver 5.0. We need to first try to figure out how to fix problems that exist with this version. In any event having this to work with is a great treat. Thank you Tory.
