Now available is the ScaleRail enhancement to RSC's Pacific Surfliner route.

Making a good thing even better, this ScaleRail expansion to RSC's Pacific Surfliner add-on realistically enhances the look and feel of the route providing a more enjoyable experience.

Using both concrete and wood ties and proper ballast colors, this upgrade accurately portrays the entire Pacific Surfliner route as it was meant to be. Using the latest Google Earth imagery, meticulous attention was given to exact placement of the ties and where the different ballast types meet. This isn't your Grandma's Surfliner!

We've also included a few small tweaks to some of the terrain, most notably around the Torrey Pines area. Using the available RSC assets, we added a missing bridges along Peñasquitos Canyon, adding an additional level of realism to your Pacific Surfliner experience.

We're proud of this new upgrade, and we hope you enjoy this ScaleRail expansion to RSC's Pacific Surfliner route. If you have any comments, please feel free to drop us a note. :D

There was a bug found in the 1.11.08.13 update. If you installed this file, you'll need to download the main 1.11.08.13 file and install that over it. Sorry about that, folks. *!embar*!

I downloaded and installed the file at 5:35am, California time, should I re-download and install again?

How do the frame rates compare with the original?

The tracks are essentially built the same way. However, there are more textures involved with ScaleRail, which would add to the overhead.

A small update is available that addresses a few of the scenario display loading issues. :D

Route should show up in the menus as ScaleRail Pacific Surfliner. If not, then perhaps it's a permission issue. You should have a route folder named b256a353-e6e9-4e98-a971-ccd2e877bed3, with everything needed inside.

Would Surfliner scenarios from the Steam Workshop work with this patched route? If so, would I just copy the scenario folder from the one downloaded by Steam into this new route's scenarios directory and/or would it require some editing along the way?

After copying the folder, I believe you'll need to open the ScenarioProperties.xml file and change the route ID. I'm away at the moment and unable to verify.

Are the loaders fixed in this version of the Surfliner, or will they need to be rotated?

Another member has posted a fix for the loaders. Look in the file library.

I've got it applied to the RSC version, but was curious if I was going to need to do the same for the ScaleRail (hopefully it would work)
