GP 60 ISSUES(NOW RESOLVED)

Unread postby eyein12 » Tue Feb 12, 2013 4:08 pm

SO I basically had the same issue as rich S about the geeps disappearing when you start the scenario. This was only on my work cpu. My master cpu they worked fine in.

It didnt take long to truobleshoot the issue. So basically its a blueprint error for some reason located in the final update. now I should have just uploaded the geo files for this update and things would have been easier. what I did was installed v2.1e then installed the update after. The update caused the issue. I then took the v2.1E.bin files for all of the locos and re pasted them over top the new ones. the locos show up and run now. I dont know why this happened but nobody told me about it until recently. I cant imagine how many people may have had this issue. everyone? or maybe no one? But I need to repack the whole thing and reup it. i'll get to it tonight.

OK so after some investigating I found the culprit. apparently its the cab_light function in exterior mode. So my question is this does this feature work in rw2, or tsx mode off? because the same blueprints work on my master cpu which I run ts 2013 tsx on. And the other thing is I have cab_lights in all my locos so I dont know why the gp60s are having this problem, but it is just the geeps. At work I have an on board chip so I run ts 2013 in tsx off mode, and th eengine disappears. everytime i try tsx on the game restarts and automaitcally has it in off mode again. thats another question in itself.

Ok Its all gonna be fixed shortly I simply re-aliased to a different cablight as the one I previously used for the gp60 pack is corrupted. i'll be reposting the link sometime today. and everyone who has the gp60 pack and had issues as described earlier will be good to go.

I'm having a nice conversation with myself today it seems like lol.

OK figured out the issue lol. when this was packed I forgot to add a very importand folder that the gp60 shares with the sd60F. the geo file for the cab light was in that folder so anytime theres a missing geo file the loco wont load. Rw_tools missed it because all the necessary files for the loco are there but not for the subfiles the loco uses. I'll have the fix up in a jiffy. you will be set for sure this time. get it at my blog.
