Thanks Marc, will look great on my new route. Just started fooling around with trees on it too.

Hi Bob,

I think the pack turned out nicely. I tried a few of the new pines on Donner and they made a world of difference!

BTW, after viewing the screens of the forest, I did a few tweaks to remove the bluish look on some of the conifers. I'll double check the rest of the files before posting an update, which I hope to have ready over the weekend.
Cheers!

Good stuff, always good to get some new scenery.

Are any viewer facing items done as viewer-facing, and not viewer-facing-upright like the rural ones? the latter look distinctly odd now cabs and viewers sway around at angles...

Since these are all trees, they are set to view upright, as view-facing would odd, no?

I find view-facing pretty odd - upright or not - but beyond knocking the poly budget for a scene through the roof, little we can do about that. I tried making some cruciform trees for longer views and they're awful, and RW4 seems to be fixing my biggest issue with the lighting of them.

I am trying to work out why some trees - noticeably the ones on Bay of Quinte where I've made the track as run down and wobbly as it will go - are leaning with cab movement which tilts the camera ( and redefines "up" ). All I can think of is they're using "Upright View Facing" ( that's what Max calls it ) as a material option. I *think* they're yours, if they're not then I apologise; I'd like a few ideas though because I'm hopeless at scenery and not really familiar with those options. Well I know what Viewer Facing is supposed to do, at least. I'll try and knock up a video when I get a free moment.
