Wow, been longing for good sounds for the p42 and amtrak dash.
I looked but couldn't find info on how these are applied... installer on purchase or manual file fumblings?

So picked up the p42dc pack, quillable horn and all. Such a step up from default although one small gripe, sound between throttle notches dont vary much.
Still above and beyond default

P42's don't change RPM throughout the operating range when in HEP supply mode. Though the exhaust note does change.

That has been something that's always bothered me about the P42 sound mods. The exhaust sound should be controlled by the amp gauge as shown on the HUD, not the RPM in TS.

I picked up the amtrak dash pack as well a few days ago but its not working as intended. Same default sounds
Comes with an installer, so you run that, the run installer of which horn youd like. Ive got the destination chosen correctly and theres really nothing else that can be amiss. Tried the standalone amtrak dash and the one that comes with Raton (even tho theyre one in the same)
Contacted them with no reply.
Cnwfan, you mentioned youve got them both... this one working for you?

In the scenario editor, I had to go to the assets, look for RSMLW or something like that, and check B32 sound pack. Once I did that, I got the sounds to work. It's the same process as getting the Searchlight sound packs to work in a scenario. I won't be back at my home computer until this weekend, so if you can't find it in the assets list, let me know and I'll find it for you. Or maybe someone else can chime in.
On a side note, I have been working on the P42Pack01. With the mods I've done so far, a full trainset doesn't take off like a jack rabbit. Has a heavier acceleration and feel. Braking is still way too heavy with a minimum set, but I'm trying to find the right combination bin mods to get that under control.

If I get home early enough tonight, I'll take a look. It's possible I'm remembering the B32 pack by DTG.

Look for RLSWAudio and check Bash 8-32BWH Soundset. That is what I have ticked in my test scenario.
