Hey guys just wanted to give a heads up that im back to work on what will be my last pack for TS2016 before the new game engine is released. This pack will be expansive and intended to be used on the work in progress 3d trains tehachapi pass route. The pack is set to include the following:

Completely remastered my own GP60M(2-3 liveries) and B40-8W units which I will supply screens of soon.
New tank car series
New articulated spine cars.

I'll release this pack on my blog as usual and it will have scenarios tailored to the new 3dtrains route. I'll keep you guys posted as things develop.

if you guys can post some pics of what you mean Id consider them. right now the tank car slot is wide open in terms of ideas.

It's hard to find a good photo of these cars. I've seen them once on CN's network, really cool.

Athearn recently released full 12 car sets of the Tank Train cars in both early and late colors. These shots show the end cars for the sets, with the middle having male connections at both ends and connecting hoses included.

GATX had multiple schemes of this car and these cars were also leased to railroads. CN leases a bunch and we're actually painted white with the CN noodle on it with gatx reporting marks.

The famous SP "Oil Cans" ...

While tank cars seem the simplest of cars, just a round canister on two trucks, they are very intricate in their detail.
Modeling a 6 or 13 car set with all the hoses, railings and appliances is a considerable challenge.

Take a good look at these pages, where an excellent scale model of the cars is being produced.

Any accurate modern tank car needs to have double shelf type couplers, like on the model.
Also, 100/125 ton trucks are a most.
These are larger in wheelbase, bearing and wheel size and number of spring nests than common 75 ton trucks.
Normally, trucks remain mostly in the shadows under the car. Not in tank cars however, here they are very prominently visible.

There was even a unique variation, a 13 car set that rode on Barber & Scheffel Radial Steering Freight Car Bogies, like in the above photo.

3 different car types to accomplish this not 13. one car that has 2 female connectors and 1 that has 2 male connectors and one that has 1 of each. I'll look into it. I need pictures that are close up and at all angles and a blueprint wouldnt hurt either. I am going to research this. I might do the short funnel flow tanker if I cant get more info on this set.

Awesome news.

This looks promising; post screenshots if you wish. I think that the new game engine is a rumour, as if the new gen TS is released the old content will be incompatible with the new engine that can be improved.
