On the pause menu, the game version indicates it was created the 1st of October.

The anti-aliasing issues have been noted by the developers and they will be addressed.

The rolling stock does look nice, but, I still don't like the cloud structure, they all look wishy washy, we want nice puffy cumulonimbus clouds, can't that be achieved on this game engine, it isn't Unreal 4 is it?

Yes, it is a “technical expression” and it is a character in the Aladdin pantomime.

It's "wischi-waschi" in german *!greengrin!*
I even didn't know this existed in english, it sounds 100% german:
From "wischen" (wipe) and "waschen" (wash).

Back to simrail:
- The clouds in TS even look better, especially the clouds by AP, though the regular clouds are only 2D. In my opinion the clouds in 3D weather look better like these presented in this sim.
- I don't know whether the trees are a real progress. They look plastic-like and move like machines, not in a natural way.
I would rather use better textures for the leaves. But that would be something that every content creator can do themselves.
- The visibility is pretty limited. It's just a bit over 1km. Probably because of all the 3D assets, especially 3D trees. I would rather do without the movement of the trees and be able to see further. With the building method as in the demo, you can forget about open landscapes. I have on my route visibility of the 2D trees up to over 5 tiles by means of asset blocks, makes up to 5km from loco forward.
- The rolling stock meets my visual requirements, I think you can build nice locomotives and cars with this engine. The physics also seems to fit, as far as one can judge in the demo (only a 2-part multiple unit).
- I hope the sound allows more than the TSW. It is really important to me. In the TS we are meanwhile spoiled by MLW/SS.

It is getting exciting !

Some news from the developer side -
Regarding the questions about the release date of the full version of SimRail - due to the fact that we want to fine-tune everything as well as possible, we will wait to collect feedback after the relase of the Prologue with the publication of the exact release date.
In the near future, we plan to open registration for multiplayer playtests via Steam.

The vehicle editor will definitely be the first to appear, we will consider inviting selected creators to its tests before the official premiere.

But, of course young man. The first known use of wishy-washy was in 1703, in the meaning defined as: lacking in character, or, determination (ineffectual wishy-washy leadership), we have a Prime Minister today of similar quality........ !*roll-laugh*!

In this instance i was referring to the washed out look of the white clouds with no clear definition, or, curvature, and the colour is very pale.

It's all very educational on this forum.....

Stay safe everybody. !!*ok*!! !*salute*!

Many of our British words today are from our old ancestors. German, French, Scandinavian, Roman, Celtic, etc.

Thank you for that information.

Hello Steve, I know Brit politics aren't exactly a hot topic here at RWA, but still, in the future please avoid posting political discussions.
Thanks
