I would like to try, but I'm not sure how. If photo repaints don't work well, how/where do I get the image to use with the texture? That's the main thing that has stumped me with repainting.

You dont have to use photos to acheive a great repaint, look at RSC stuff, they never use photos. its all paintshop. Photos look pixelated and rough boundaries. I use Paintshop and created the paint scheme you see on the NS from scratch only using photos for a very few specific details.

All you repainters I will be posting 5 .psd layered files so you can play with the templates aside from what I already included in the pack. I'll post the link on here and my blog tonight.

Ian, is there a paint template for the GP60? I would like to make some SP and SSW liveries.

Ian. Do you only use Paintshop? Can I use something like Gimp or Paint.NET?

You can use anything that can edit photos. but the file has to be saved as an .ace file though so you can re-convert it back to .tpdx so the game can read it.

As of right now I would hold off on repainting anything that usues horizontal or diagnal lines. conrail or NS repaints are the only ones you can get away with for now until I get the new repainter model out, which should be tonite when I get home and finish it. I had to reposition the UVW map and rebake on 2 of the maps to fix the horizontal line distortions. its fractions different for 2 of the texture maps. So hang tight youre repaints will look great now.

thanks for your understanding.

OK I released the last update for this pack. It fixes everything that was an issue last time, and it includes a UP paint scheme too. repainters will now have horizontal lines that arent distorted and we now have a legit UP repainted unit.

One warning. If you like the old NS unit roof stuff then clone it and rename it before you install the update.

You can get it from my blog. enjoy!
