If my work on the U30B succeeds then I will make the U25B.

I've read anywhere a couple months ago that Oovee won't publish anymore RW3 assets (TS2012 if you prefer) until RSC makes the gamer (or game engine) better or realiable (my words, not from Oovee). I guess there is a note about on its site.

Just recently on Oovee's facebook page, they uploaded an image of the GE U25B, Saying "For TS2012 - Coming Soon".

Ha! *!twisted!* The message I've read was here some post above, on page 2 of this thread.

As of recent, Oovee has been rather muted as regards to the development of future RailWorks add-ons. Whilst many people have speculated on community forums that other projects have taken a higher priority, this is actually not far from the truth but there is a logical reason behind it.

The launch of Spintires has taken a lot of resources from the company without question, but this is only part of the company portfolio growth that we had originally planned during initial founding of Oovee. Same applies for the recent launch of our first Flight Simulator add-on.

RailWorks customers are continuously requesting that our original products are updated with the new features that RailWorks 3 has to offer and coupled with our original commitments to provide product updates, take’s considerable time and money to reinvest on such a dynamic platform.

It is therefore the reason that I have decided that Oovee will not be committing to any future RailWorks products UNTIL original products, worthy of updating, are updated and provided to the end-user.

After this, we will then continue with the development of the U25B locomotive for the US market. Products aimed towards the UK market are subject to change due to the recent demise of the National Express East Anglia franchise and our connections with them.

Curious once (almost) nothing changed from RSC, anyway is really good they released the brakes and now are moving on... I liked too much Hatchet Hill Quarry.

Hi everyone,

I'm sorry for the lack of updates regarding this topic recently. As many of you may have heard we did stop development for a short period because I felt it was important that all of our products were updated to the TS2012 standard before producing new content.

Since the product-wide TS2012 update has commenced I am pleased to confirm that the U25B is back on the cards and is infact our next planned release!

If anyone has any feedback as to what they'd like to see (feature-wise) in this release then please let me know. I will upload renders here as an when during the development.

Thanks
Zane.

Was trying to get them also to do a set of highly detailed railcars for the sim. I would pay good money for these

Other than the obvious, what are the differences?

They are very similar. I was planing on making the whole U*B series over time using the same frame and undercarriage. If oovee was going to do the same then I would be living in their shadow the whole time since they have more experience and better tools. I have to say that several members here encouraged me to continue with my U30B, and I will, just at a slower pace. I have learned a lot from SMM's tutorials and the outside shape is about 90% done, which just leaves the cab.

Papa, don't the later versions/phases of the Universal series have this short "pug" nose? That is a major distinction between your WIP's and the Oovee U25B. Their early U25B needs to have had a longer, sloping front nose/short hood.

High short hood and long hood forwards U-boats in N&W and Southern would be very fine indeed, besides the obvious low nose units.

All the U25s I've seen with single front windows have had flat-top noses ( even though they're long ), it's a bit confusing. The U30 seems to have a different arrangement of equipment boxes on the walkways ( other than the stubby nose ), that's pretty much all I've noticed so far.
