That is indeed what he did.

Aside from everyone here derailing the topic, I have news. Version 1.2 is now available and includes the following:
*Added support for DTG's NJT GP40PH-2B with HEP sounds, and new High Distance Nathan K5LA.
*Changed flange squeal audio for inside the cab.
*Fixed horn stutter conflicts with certain models by switching to two part horns.
-This shouldn't interfere with Mike Kam's mods to the GP40PH if you do not install the simulation blueprints I included.

You need version 1.0, and 1.1 prior to downloading 1.2 because it is a patch update, not an entirely new update. I have big plans for a version 2.0 complete update. When I get there, I'll have more to say about it. For now, enjoy!

Does that update have the alerter sounds play in-cab if ACSES and ATC are enabled?

Well for starters I didn't know when I purchased this a week ago that you had to install v1.0 first. I simply DL'd v1.1 and copied it over to the Railworks folder. That explains why my SD40-2 had the sounds but my SD40T-2 did not. Installing them all in order now has fixed that. !**duh*!!

I am very impressed with this pack. I really love the attention to detail on how you hear the slight idle pitch down of the engine and turbo when they are first introduced to a load in Notch 1. As much as I love the howl and drum roll of SD40-2s in Notch 8...... my favorite notches are 2 thru 4. That's because of how the turbo sounds here (in the mechanically driven stage) and this is where the engine's deep bass note rattles and resonates strongest against windows, building's walls and your chest cavity. You captured those nuances pretty much perfectly! **!!bow!!**

Kudos to you and totally worth the price! !!*ok*!!

Tested the revised sounds. I like how the horn is much smoother, but my major gripe is with the bell sound and the K3LA on the BNSF H3. I noticed that the bell sound loops aren't looped anymore, meaning that the bell won't sound right when you change between interior and exterior view with the bell turned on. Therefore, the bell length is harder to modulate.

I have also noticed that the CSX SD40-2 shape file didn't load properly.

The sounds you have produced for the 40 series have made a considerable difference to it. Absolutely excellent in every way. I am looking forward to any other you might do. :D :D

These excellent sounds make a world of a difference, and at a pretty nice price considering all the different locomotives it supports. I especially like the new K5LA and HEP generator for the NJT GP40. The low humming you can hear from the generator while idling, sounds just like the real thing.

I have the same problem as OpenRailer90 with the bell and how it doesn't sound right when switching between interior and exterior view, as if the bell's loop is messed up. This happens on all locomotives (most apparent on the DRGW SD40T-2).

When you're changing in and out of the cab? Its because I have the entire file set as a loop with a loop specified by the software so you don't have issues with timing the start/stop of loops. I myself don't switch in and out of the cab very often, and when I do its not when I'm blowing the horn/ringing the bell.

I am having a strange issue with the NS LHF SD40-2 in which the external sounds refuse to play, yet the interior sounds work fine.

Was a fix ever found for the NS LHF SD40-2? I went to use this engine tonight for the first time in a long time and am also missing the exterior sounds. I didn't see any note in this thread of it being fixed, though I did see it on the supported engine list on the download page. I'm using v1.2.

It's just the horn and bell that don't work in the exterior view, so maybe it's not even the same issue at all.

Thanks
