Do the throttles move in notches or continuously like in the SD90?

I'm having an issue with these locos. I don't hear any prime mover sounds. The horn and bell sounds work fine, and once the train starts moving I hear the track running sounds etc, but I can't hear the actual "engine".

Also, when the game first starts up, the engine RPM's drop to zero and then slowly climb again, not sure if this is related or not.

I've reinstalled both the main file and the sounds file.

Is anyone else having these issues/have any ideas?

Ian, you have absolutely outdone yourself with this one. !!*ok*!! *!!thnx!!* !!*ok*!!

The sounds are fantastic, and the textures are spot on, especially on the UP unit! Go buy it people!

Dr1980, I got the same issue you're describing, but only with quickdrive.

I have only run this in free roam so far but there are no problems there with anything.

I believe this is because locomotive and sound files are in different directories under Eyein.
<Provider>Eyein<
<Product>Orlando< for the loco,
<Product>Seattle-Portland< for the sounds.

You probably need to tick both boxes in the scenario editor asset selection fly-out, but with QuickDrive there are no such boxes?
Can QD even be edited?
Can the PreLoad be edited to include the two <Product>'s? Otherwise, the sounds will have to be moved and re-aligned under Orlando?

Also, some extra files still remains in the downloads: there is no need for ,bak, .cost and .tgt files.

Furthermore, is there still a need for a softshadow child object with TS2015?

the only reason why there are .tgt, cost and bak are because I packaged it using RW_tools instead of DTG packager. the DTG packager is absolutely terrible. it took 10 mins to refresh on there and I was already done packing up the assets by the time it finished. I prefer the packager by DTG because its easy for everyone. but it crashes my computer when I try packing up this pack. anything over 200 mb my computer fails. so I guess I need a new one.

Thats a pretty critical assessment... I am very pleased with this loco. When comparing it to most of the recent DTG stuff, this loco stands way out in front.

I am pleased with it as well, the brake handle animation errors should be easily corrected and then it is back to 3.75/5. I consider this a most welcome locomotive.

How do I move a posting to a different sub-forum? Am I entitled to user reviews? That section is perhaps better reserved for fellow creators who better know how to assess a model, since they model themselves and know the do's and dont's, the limits of the 3D modeling proces and what can be achieved in Railworks?
