Duchess of Sutherland!

This is one sweet looking locomotive. I'll be getting this one instead of the SD70 v.2 pack (altho I'm sure I'll get that pack later, too)

http://www.ironhorsehouse.co.uk/ Make sure you watch the You Tube videos. Screen shots later! !!*ok*!!

And once again RS.com thinks: Hey, the British packs are much more attractive to the customers. They only mock about our US products. *!sad!*

Nothing against your decision. The Duchess is surely a great locomotive. I just wanted to point this out for all the mockers.

Not sure what you mean Michael, what's a mocker ??

As IHH is English, then the creations are going to be more British based, he has of course, already released a Challenger, Consolidation and a Big Boy steam locomotives, along with baggage and dome cars and a 50ft boxcar, so, he has contributed quite a few items towards the North American market. I doubt if he would design and build anything "European", but, I don't know for sure.
RS.com are building the NEC route with locomotives and appropriate rolling stock and have just released 2 packs of SD70's, so, they are also contributing towards the fans of North American content in good quantity.

A mocker is somebody who mocks about something. *!!wink!!*

That was not my point. I refer to the SD70 Volume 2 dicussion here in the forums.
Some people say: Oh, I won't buy it. It's too expensive, few items, whatever.
But then they complain about RS.com making too few US dlc.
I would think this way if I was RS.com: Not enough earnings with US dlc? Why should we do even more US stuff or should we even stop making it in the future?
(And they could think this. *!sad!* )

So, in the words of Frank Sinatra: "That's Life!" !*don-know!*

(But lets stop this discussion. The Duchess is a great loco. I hope it comes to Steam soon.)

Gotta have Port Road (I do) and WCML (I don't) for this one. Looks like I'll be waiting a while.

WCML is very nice. Especially when you run the Class 390 on it. You should buy this one also. !!*ok*!!

Yes, it's a pity about the overhead electric wires though - Princess Coronation Pacifics were all withdrawn in the 1960s and the wires only went North to Glasgow in 1974.

A nice "wish" for RW2 would be switchable features such as semaphore signals/colour lights and overhead wire/no overhead wires... Mmmm!

Although Duchess Of Sutherland wasn't built as a streamliner, most Princess Coronations were - here's one!

All were rebuilt after WW2 in unstreamlined form

There is a WCML-Before the Wires route around somewhere. !!*ok*!!
If God had intended for man to fly, He wouldn't have given us the railroads.

John, that is one sweet looking locomotive. Nice pic.

BTW, to update this Topic, I have The Duchess, and the SD70 v2 pack as well as WCML. Time and paycheck permitting, I'll probably have all of Railworks "stuff". !*brav*!
