It has the magic word "new haven" and wires here and there, but maybe it's too modern for me.
What You think people, is the NY - NH + HHP8 worth the money, or not?

To be quite honest, no. RSC has still not fixed the ATC/ACSES cab signalling systems. When you're approaching a speed restriction, the train will automatically switch the cab signal to that limit without even warning you, then give you a matter of 7 seconds to decelerate at times >40MPH or else you'll see a brake application, which is difficult to release until the train is almost at a dead stop. Not to mention that the ACS-64 is useless on the Northeast Corridor route from PHL-NYC because the cab signalling just malfunctions the entire trip. !*not-ok*!

It is not useless. ctrl-d, ctrl-f. Problem solved, and you now have a functional ACS-64 and HHP-8 (if you bought it) on the NEC. Yes, it's lacking the in-cab signaling, but so is everything else on the route.

What you are being critical of is largely how the "supression" system on MNCR works in reality, and you have 8 second to zero out your throttle, make the supression brake application, and acknowledge the alert. You do not have to have fully reduced your speed in those eight seconds; if you have taken the necessary steps toward doing so, a full brake application will not occur.

Zero'ing out the throttle is a bit more obnoxious as there isn't a notch at "0", but setting it negative also works, so fair enough. They've also at least heard the feedback that a zero notch should be added.

There is also a shortcut to suppression for the ACS-64 (SHIFT-‘ ), after that, simply hit Q and life is good.

Thanks for all of the replies. I wasn't necessarily attempting to be critical, I love the work RSC has put into the route, but it's frustrating when you can't find any documentation regarding the signaling system. I'll jump into the simulator and work with these solutions you've all provided as I'm very pleased with everything else, even for a Run8-oriented simulation user. Don't get me wrong at all, the ACS-64 is wonderful and I'm quite in love with the K5LA that was chosen for the unit, it reminds me somewhat of a steam locomotive whistle. !!**sorry**!!

It's a pretty impressive route. I was wondering why I kept getting 'stopped' when I was trying to run at track speed, and then I read the manual on the AWS system. What would really be cool is if they joined the NEC routes together so that you could go south to Philly. That would be a true add-on. But I guess it was different developers. This route kind of reminds me of TML studios World of Subways Path Train, as far as some of their scenery modeling goes.

I like it just fine. A great accomplishment as routes go.

However, I had hoped that it would have been more historically correct, architecturally speaking that is.
This corridor and region is as old as railroading itself. It looks as though it was built twenty years ago.

But then I tend to be from another era.
