Installation: Since you have opened this Read-me file, you must be acquainted with Zip packages.  Simply drag the Freight at Dagenham.RWP file to your monitor's desktop; then launch the TS Utilities.exe program, select the Package Manager tab, and click on the "Install" button.  In the box that opens, select Desktop as the source, click on Freight at Dagenham.rwp, and then click Open.  Once the package has installed, you may delete the Freight at Dagenham.rwp file from your desktop.

Description: As a Ford Motor Company driver, you frequently shunt freight wagons, both loaded and empty, between the company's plant at Dangenham and the Dagenham shipping docks.  Today's job is slightly different, as you also participate in a timing trial being conducted by Ford's shipping division.

Notes: As a devoted shunter, I particularly like writing freight-based scenarios for routes on which passenger runs dominate, such as London Faversham High Speed.  The Ford Motor Company plant at Dagenham struck me as a likely site for shunting, especially in connection with the relatively close Dagenham Docks yard.  Two questions arose immediately, the first being the type of wagons suitable for such a scenario.  Two types of cargo can be seen in place at the Ford plant: containers and automobiles.  Looking for something a bit different in the way of container wagons, I selected the FEA-B Spline and KTA Pocket units packaged with RSC's Class 66 Diesel Locomotive Pack 02.  The autos themselves presented more of a challenge until I remembered that I had bought a Just Trains package that included IPA Car Carrier double-deck wagons.  The second question involved the "Docks" area, where there is no watercourse in sight.  There is a very large warehouse-like structure, so presumably these are "dry docks".  As scenario work proceeded, I discovered that although the creators of the London Faversham route included a number of freight-related areas, these were clearly not intended for actual use.  Driving between the Ford Plant's yard and the Docks area, for example, proved quite interesting.
