Description: Project #2 from the paintshop of CanadaSouthern: Coal Hopper Conrail

Introduction:

While rebuilding the OVSRails database, I was going through the old COA_Equipment file searching for original equipment files, I found a few that could not be found. All were repaints of the Kuju Coal hopper,

AECX, AP1, AP2, CRIX, CR and CSX. I decided to try my hand at repainting and started with the private cars AECX (Associated Electric Cooperative), AEPX (2 versions of American Electric Power Co.) and CRIX

(Citicorp Railmark Inc) and also included one car for TILX (Trinity Industries Leasing). This, my second repaint is that of the ConRail Coal Hopper.

Prototype Information:

This repaint is based photos the Conrail Bathtub Gondola found online. Due to limitations of the model used, a completely prototypical paint job wasn't possible.

In this model, placement of the automatic numbers are 1 panel to the left of where they are on the prototypes. Because of this anomaly, the car won't be completely prototypical, but you'll get the general idea!

Requirements:

This package requires the coal hopper included in "Train Simulator: CSX SD80MAC Loco Add-On" found in the steam store:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/277733/Train_Simulator_CSX_SD80MAC_Loco_AddOn. This repaint won't work without this loco add-on package.

Installation:

Use the train simulator utilites program (utlities.exe) found in the Railworks directory to install the ConRail_Coal_Hopper.rwp included in this zip file.

After installation, in your Railworks installation, navigate to:

Assets\DTG\SD80MACPack01\RailVehicles\Freight\CoalHopper\Default\Wagon and copy coal_hopper.GeoPcDx.

Then go back up to Assets\DTG\SD80MACPack01\RailVehicles\Freight\CoalHopper\ConRail\Wagon and paste it into this folder.

The repaint can be found listed as Coal Hopper ConRail.
