Adriana County SW1500 v 2 repaint pack by tagsdm
Included are 2 repaints of the SW1500s that are included with the RSC SW1500 pack. One is ex-CN, the other is ex-UP (Default). They are lettered for the freelanced Adriana County route by LtBligh, available at the Steam Workshop, and are designed to give users some variations of the basic SW1500. These engines have differet fittings and also the flex-i-coil trucks for a little added variety. Markings are fictional, as is the route itself, and are designed to show slight variations in style over time, and generic weathering designed to be acceptable on several units as the engines use autonumbering. Keep in mind that some of the effects included with the Marias Pass SW1500 have not been included with the SW1500 pack models, mainly the rain and lighting effects. Why, who knows, but it's not due to the repaints, it's in the models themselves. These repaints use a low-res texture fix suggested by Nitsujy12345.
To install this repaint pack, extract the ACDX_SW1500_V2.rwp to a convenient location for you (like your desktop) and install using the Package Manager utility located in your Railworks main folder. You should find 2 new folders in ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500 after installing. They are...
CN - ACDX
Default - ACDX
Now the file copying...
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\Canadian\Engine folder and copy the SW1500_01.GeoPcDx file. Then
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\CN-ACDX\Engine folder and paste the SW1500_01.GeoPcDx file there.
Then
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\Canadian\CabView folder and copy the SW1500Cab.GeoPcDx file. Then
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\CN-ACDX\CabView folder and paste the SW1500Cab.GeoPcDx file there.
That should give you the ex-CN version.
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\Default\Engine folder and copy the SW1500_01.GeoPcDx file. Then
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\Default-ACDX\Engine folder and paste the SW1500_01.GeoPcDx file there.
Then
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\Default\CabView folder and copy the SW1500Cab.GeoPcDx file. Then
Navigate to your ...Assets\RSC\SW1500Pack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\SW1500\Default-ACDX\CabView folder and paste the SW1500Cab.GeoPcDx file there.
That should give you the ex-UP (Default) version and you're done!
To use in a scenario, be sure RSC and SW1500Pack01 are checked in the editor. You should find 4 new entries in the locomotive flyout on the left. They are...
EMD SW1500 Switcher CN-ACDX
EMD SW1500 Switcher CN-ACDX_ND
EMD SW1500 Switcher UP-ACDX
EMD SW1500 Switcher UP-ACDX_ND
Just place one of the driver engines on the rails, add a driver and you're set. The ND suffix indicates a no driver unit. Use the ND units in the middle or at the end of a lash-up, or as a scenery item. Curiously, if you want smoke in the ND engines in a lash-up, they need a driver installed in the scenario editor! For through trains, I'll usually double head the SW1500s, sometimes with a GP15. Switching around Harrison Ave, I'll use a single unit.
All credit for the model and original textures goes to RSC and it's associates and developers. I did only the repaints. Please do not redistribute.
Neither I nor the original builders of the model will accept any responsibility for any damage, real or imagined, to your system by using these files. There shouldn't be any, though. Hope you enjoy!
