TS-Tools is a suite of utilities for Train Simulator Classic. This suite enables advanced users to carry out many improvements/changes to the default simulator, such as:

• Swap rolling stock in scenarios to replace items the user does not have with those they do.
• Re-skin the textures of rolling-stock into the liveries of other rail companies.
• Edit the .bin files of TS2020 assets
• View .TgPcDx texture files
• Unpack the .ap archive files now used by TS2020
• List/Add/Remove ‘Child’ objects from rolling-stock
• Check Routes and Scenarios for missing objects and files
• Etc.

TS-Setup v1.0.82 Instructions

Unzip this file into a temporary folder e.g. C:\Temp and right-click on TS-Setup.exe and
select "Run as Administrator" from the pop-up menu. This will ensure that the various .ocx
files are correctly registered upon installation.

The installer defaults to C:\Rail Utilities\TS-Tools but you can alter this to anywhere you
wish EXCEPT C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86) - It will not work from these folders.

At the end of installation, you will see a pop-up asking you to install MW Graphics utilities
click OK to ensure that the graphics utilities are installed following the installation of
TS-Tools.

If you have RW_Tools installed, you may copy the file RWpreferences.txt into the TS-Tools folder
to save you setting up your options again. Also if you have the Thumbnails folder in use in
RW_Tools you may copy the contents of it into TS-Tools\Thumbnails to save you having to download
the pictures again.

Depending upon your security settings etc, you may find it necessary to run TS-Tools as administrator
you can do this automatically by right-clicking on the desktop icon and selecting
Properties/Compatability and ticking the box 'Run this program as an administrator' at
the bottom of the small window. This will be saved for you.
